Making drawers on a combination machine is closely related to finger joints and I only go for dovetails when the drawer needs to be taken in piece after building. The same way I would rather make the choice of applied mouldings or face screwed on the drawer body that enables for more versatility. Click that link or the below drawing to find out may way.
