Such full extension slide made from hardwood doesn't purpose heavy loaded or frequently handled drawers but rather fine pieces of furniture and demands much more time and care than that underneath slide. But related to the design this slide may wear the two whole sides of the cabinet and give the look of intergrated drawers as well as a feeling of luxury.
I really think that concept is fully workable under condition of fine milling and adjustment of each elements. In short the less friction surface the more smooth gliding and the better adjustment the better guiding. Easy to say may you reply but hobbyist woodworkers have time and typically love such challenge.

Each slide is made up of three main components : The static guides screwed against the stiles then the intermediate runner and the drawer runner attached to the drawer side. The bottom guide holds the bottom drawer then the intermediates guides fill the whole gap between two drawers and the top guide aims the top drawer as you may see below. An only tongue is machined on the top and bottom guides whereas the intermediate one hods a tongue at each end. Of course the intermediate guides are not required and purpose fine look.

In order to make the machining easier I designed the intermediate runner in three elements. This allows for simple rabbets on each part that could be milled on a table saw or a spindle moulder for much accuracy and safety. The hidden back stop strengthens the runner and restricts its gliding to about the half of the whole length.

The aperture in the above intermediate runner, about its half length too, accommodates the dowel of the drawer runner that aims to stop the drawer as soon as its back reaches the front cabinet. The shape purposes the less surface friction between the two runners but fitting is also essential so that keeping the drawer as parallel as possible when opening or closing.
