Mini Planer Jointer : Tables

This document is part of the mini planer jointer project. The longest tables the better ! that piece of common sense finds its own limits in the available room. The design of the tables enables the same length before and after the working tool. When putting away the folding leg allows the infeed table to lay onto the planer bed whereas the outfeed table stands along the sides of the tool support.

Overview

Description : the infeed table front hook glides between the planner bed and the bolted angle that works as a stop to get the bed and the extension table flush. The folding leg can be adjusted the same depth the planer allows. The grooved double leg slides along its machined guide and a wing-nut locks the table at the right height. The top can also accommodates the adjustable fence extension. Lastly the bottom wedge prevents the table from folding as well as moving left or right.

Infeed Table

The outfeed table doesn't move up and down but needs to follow the fence right to left. So the bottom wedge only prevents the leg from folding. The head screws of the front top go through the largest drilled holes of the fence support and automatically lock by moving the table some millimetres. That mechanism enables for the quick setting and removal of the table so that adjusting the fence.
