Chronic shortage of space often leads me to find out some unexpected solution. A power planer could become a stationary planer jointer but also a planer thicknesser as well as a planer sledge. Using a single tool, these three components may be put away on a cabinet shelf but also each one can be put back into its own box allowing you to work wherever you wish. All are set and adjusted and removed without tool.
